i recently aquired a SMURF that i can't I.D. and pete suggested i ask you all for help....so

the SMURF is normal size, made of hard pvc or semi-soft pvc, but still plyable. he is dressed in a 'crusaders' outfit and may be part of a promo. he has a grey helmet, long yellow shirt, pebbled grey boots attached to a thin grey base. he is wearing a red cape, a red shield in his left hand, and a raised grey sword in his right hand. on the back of both the cape and the shield appears to be a yellow cross. underneath the base on the bottom of one foot is PEYO, and on the other is the date 2005. one other thing...the head turns back and forth. any one with info on this figure would be appreciated. and yes.. my log in name and real last name really is SCHLEICH !

no, sorry i can't download any pictures. i'm still of the 'old' school, film. i really don't fully understand digital stuff but one day i'm going to have to if i want to get along in todays world.

Do you have a scanner. if not do you have a kinko's or another print shop in your area? Kinko's can scan regular photos onto a disc for you and then you can load them from the disc.

What you have, is one of six McDonald's Happy Meal Smurfs from their Knight Playsets which were distributed in Germany. This particular figure came with a swiveling attack dummy to practice his swordsmanship.

The other four Smurf Knights each have different castle towers or a dragon cave and Smurfette is a fair maiden with an old Miedeval cone hat.

You can still find these on eBay for around $40.00 per set.

thanks JimEII for your help, however, if my SMURF is from McD's shouldn't there be a McD arch somewhere on the SMURF? I have almost the complete set of regular McD SMURFS from Germany and they all have the McD arches on the backs of their heads.

Logical question, but no these playsets do not have the embossed McD arches nor do the Pirate Smurf Playsets they gave out previous years in their Happy Meals. All twelve of these special playsets are not designated with Smurf production numbers.

I wish I could show you pictures of my sets in their castle diorama and also extras I have altered to create additional characters.
