I know they are hard to come by in the US, but there are smaller shops, and occasionally bigger chains like Hot Topic, or Spencer Gifts that have had them at times. I think we will see more of them over the next 2 years as the DVD (or DVD's?) and then the movie create more interest in the. At the moment they are more of a retro 80's thing, but if the cards are played right, maybe the Smurfs will enjoy a revival and they won't be just 80's leftovers, but a curent fad with a new generation.
don't know so much about the Smurf scene in the UK, but maybe something similar is going on?
