Smurfs at Family Dollar
Hi Everyone; Family Dollar has a couple of things so far. The pop and race game and a puzzle in a lunch box.
Here is a pic of the lunch box it's the one on the left. I didn't see the other one.

Nice Bill,
Just got back from iParty where they have Smurf birthday banners, paper plates in 2 sizes, napkins, tablecloths and mylar baloons, plus the 'movie Smurfs'. The manager gave me one of the movie Smurf displays.
Have to check out the puzzle/lunch boxes. I just bought the Pop 'N' Race game at TRU today.
Thanks Bill

Glad you got the display and the pop and race game. I just hope you didn't pay more than $5 for the pop and race game. I think I paid $7.99 for it and Family dollar has it for $5. Did you get any of the party Supplies? I have quite a few of them, but I got them from Parties4kids.com. They have blow outs, invatations, Thank you notes, table cloths, Center pieces, tattoo's, plates 2 sizes, Napkins 2 sizes, Cups, and even cake toppers. And they are not too high on the prices. Oh I forgot the banners too. Not sure if I got my foil balloons there or not. I have two of them about 4 feet tall when not blown up.
P.S. I am jelous (can't spell it) about the display.

I did buy the Pop 'n' Race for $7.99 because no one in this area sells them. I'll check out Family Dollar. If they have them for $5 I'll just take the other one back to TRU. I bought whatever types they had at iParty, plates, banners, napkins, banners tablecloth and baloon, but they were out of a few items. Just have to keep shopping I guess.

Thats good that you can take things back. If I had bought it at TRU I would have to drive 100 miles to take it back. Or spend $5 to mail it back. Not worth saving $3 for. LOL Just curious about something were the plates Square? Did you see my post in the Shroom room called stuff I got from a friend? Talk about Display items. Hit the jackpot on that one. I also got the display from Dollar tree for the Wash cloths, but my air conditioner froze up and leaked all over the floor. I wouldn't have caught it when I did if the TV station wasn't comming to my house.

Both sizes of the plates are square.
I guess I'm lucky in a way in that I have Target, Walmart, TRU, iParty, Dollar General, Family Dollar, K-Mart, etc., etc., etc. all within a 3 or 4 mile radius. But as I mentioned a few times....you and most of the northern stores that sell Smurf items always seem to get the new stuff long before we do here in FL, if we get it at all.
Don't know where or how you get your connections but you do a great job getting Smurf stuff.

The story on my local TV station about my collection did wonders for me. Lots of people that just had an item or two had them when I went to see them. All the Movie stuff came from a friend that knew for years I collected. Well except for the movie trailers which I got off ebay. I have noticed many times that someone up north would find something and it would take you several weeks to get it. If you ever did. Not sure why that is. Best guess I have is I have distribution centers for most of those stores less than 80 miles from me.

Went to 2 Family Dollar stores...no Smurf items.
Checked "Party City" web site. It looks like they have a lot more of the Smurf party items then what I found at iParty. There are 2 Party City's close by. Guess I have to head out again tomorrow.
When my wife asks where I'm going or where I've been I tell her "SMURFING". Which means "I'm Smurf shopping." She just shakes her head and smiles.

LOL on your wife shaking her head. I get that a lot. Actually I think most people understand my collecting Smurfs. I am going to check out that site you mentioned. I'm sure not all the party stores have the same things. Everything I have found has been made by Hallmark. I wonder if there are other makers of items.
