Question Kubrick Smurfs

How many sets/series were there of the Kubrick Smurfs, and what were they?

Re: Kubrick Smurfs

Hi there

Unfortunately I don't know much about the Kubricks and I don't have any of these yet either. Hopefully someone here will know more about them and be able to help you.

Hey Chiefy!
Thanks for posting that google image thing. I had never seen those kubrick smurfs before. I don't know if I like them. They seem big & clunky. they also don't look loveable like my regular smurf figurines. My smurfs look like they could come to life any second & just have a smurfy day! Those Kubrick ones look stiff & unhuggable. Sorry if I'm bumming everyone out! I know that what appeals to some of us, doesn't work for everyone. Anyway, thanks chiefy for the link or whatever you call it!

Re: Kubrick Smurfs

Gary, your collection is beautiful & I apologize if I hurt your feelings about those Kubrick ones! They are very bright & colorful! Are they a more modern release or have they been around for as long as the original smurfs? Again, sorry if I hurt your feelings!

Re: Kubrick Smurfs

I know what you mean Lucretia... I'm not overly keen on them. They're a bit like bad Lego... ha ha. The arm joints look quite flimsy. It's good how they did a full range of Smurfies though. The king Smurf looks the best. Nice collectors items!

Re: Kubrick Smurfs

Chiefy, I know exactly what you mean about the Lego analogy! I did not post that comment, though, because I thought no one else would get it! They remind me of the old Lego people of the 70's & early 80's. I loved those back in the day! They were way better than the tiny Lego people they make now. I also agree that the king is is the best "Kubrick" one! I think it's because he is so puffy that you don't see all the jointed-ness of him. Is jointed-ness even a word? Ha ha!!
Talk to you later!

Re: Kubrick Smurfs

Hey - no hurt feelings here - the Kubricks are actually a "new" product. They started coming out about a year and a half ago, and there were scheduled for 2 more sets to be released but they never released them.
