Pete Here's a link to our ID Guide with pics of all the SCCI Smurfs:

http://search.cartserver.com/search/...ords=scci&bool=

Note there are 2 gold pigs; one with straight elbows, and one with bent elbows. He was so popular, Suzanne offered a variation!

Suzanne always instructed members to let her know if an SCCI promo changed hands, as she maintained a registry of who held them. I had peaople report sale of these pieces to me, and reported them to Suzanne, and she said she made the change. She never did put the registry in my hands however, and now she has passed away. The best I can do isa confirm if a person was a registered SCCI member, but if a seller is not an original member, I can't really do anything useful.

She also would not give me the SCCI raised seal thingy, which she used to replicate certs in the event a registered owner reported loss of the cert.

I have her "prototype" set which was part of the SCCI collection I acquired, but I think not all are signed and/or sealed, and she wrote "sample" across the cert. One of them is actually a Muster! I also have some others I bought where I could confirm a provenance - that is, I confirmed the seller was an SCCI member.

I guess maybe these qualify or my rarest pieces.

Her collection also included a pink pig. She told me it was right from Schleich, and I know they had a Gram with a pink pig Smurf, but I don't know any history behind the gram-less pink pig Smurf, only have her word that it's a real deal. I wish I had better documentation for some of her pieces She has some real odd-ball stuff! Including a great raw and Muster collection that was all acquired by her before anyone stated playing games with repros...They are some of my fave pieces now!

michellehl You may want to ask Pete about this. I think he took over all S.C.C.I. responsibilities and he would be the one to verify whether or not those certificates are legit.

Bobbisbabe Hi There

Thanks for the response.

Yes it does come with a certificate and he told me I have transfer ownership.
I havent purchased it yet.
He has 3 of them that I want

pvcblue Bobbisbabe - the smurf holding the golden pig was a SCCI collectors piece. A limited number of them were made by Schleich for the Club and each was issued with a Certificate fo Authenticity. If the piece does not have this Certificate, I wouldn't trust it.

Here is the Description of it from the MV.com ID Guide -

20057 Thirsty (S.C.C.I. promo "1990 Celebration Smurf")
Markings: Hong Kong, no paint dot
Condition: Mint
Description: Issued in celebration of the club's 5th year. 20057 (bent elbows) holding a golden pig. Limited to 200 pieces. Includes a numbered certificate with a raised SCCI seal. (

you can find it here -
