Default Sweet Story!

Awesome pic! I'm Melissa, Pete's sister, and I have been helping out since almost the beggining of his Smurf endeavors, around 1999. I remember the first big shipment of Smurfs I helped out on was the Millenium Smurf in the beggining of 2000. We sure have grown a LOT since then! I am 28 years old and the Smurfs was my favorite cartoon when I was 10 years old, in 1988. I know that because I have a creative writing booklet I made in 5th grade and the teacher made us fill out a questionaire of sorts, and one of the questions was what is your favorite show? My answer was the Smurfs, of course! I have a few family photos from my childhood where I am wearing a Smurfette shirt with a rainbow, and Pete had a sweatshirt with Super Smurf on it that I inherited when he outgrew it. Those were the days! I never had smurf toys though. I never even saw them until Pete met his future wife who had collected them since childhood. And her collection is pretty much how MushroomVillage (formerly eSmurfs.com) was born! But thats another story...

I just wanted to comment on your smurf poster, with the stop sign. I have one from the same series hanging on the wall here at our Smurf shop. It is Lazy Smurf sleeping on a shovel (like figure 20043 digger) and he's got a bubble over his head that says "I love work... I can dream about it for hours"
I love Lazy. He might be my favorite So laid back! Thanks for listening!
