I don't have any smurf albums at the moment but I did win 9 smurf cassettes recently that should arrive tomorrow.....unfortunately I think they are all in German so I may be singing "Bier, bier Schlumpfe bier..."....lol. I actually have the English version of that song thanks to Raelene who sent me a copy earlier this year.....hmm,....smurfs, beer.....now I am trying to guess your other favourite thing....lol.

Ah yes I had the ultimate day recently, going to the smurf shop in London and buying a couple of the blue fellows, few points and then a footie match. Does life get any better?

When you get the tapes, let us know if they speed up the recordings to do the smurfy voices, hum German at high speed, that sounds kinda weird to me!

The package just arrived (about 8 mins ago) and hopefully the cassettes are in there.....I will let you know once I get a chance to go through them all. There is at least 270 smurfs in this package so it's gonna take me a while to get through them all....can't wait

Not sure if there was 270 smurfs or not as I haven'tcounted thembut there was a lot.....now I will be spending the next 4-5 days sorting through them and cataloging them all......don't you love reading 200 plus small markings......I swear, after 200 times of doing this I am sure I start to read Made In Timbuktoo.

Yer, agree about difficulty of reading some of the markings, esp if going to read lots. Plus it's all that time when you're trying to decide if it's a 6 or an 8 etc. I mean honstly when Schleich made them they could've made it really clear for us collectors. Supporting literacy in kids too!

Re attom and atom. Oh dear or dear. Guess soon I won't be writing Australia either I'll be writing Sydstralia too....

If it helps Helen, we may soon be changing our name to Smurfstralia.....it seems smurfs have become an Aussie tradition as they are selling really well down here in the shops....I still get funny looks from the little kids especially when I'm hogging the smurf display area at Kmart....but what really annoys me is when a little person picks up the nice ones I have put aside to buy and start smashing them into each other and dropping them......aaaarrrggghhhhhh......now I understand kids and they are only playing and all.....but these are smurfs we are talking about here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will settle for Sydstralia though.....as long as I get to live in the Sydney Opera House.....always wanted to buy that property when I was a kid.....it has a great waterfront view.....and I can just picture images of the smurfs painted on the side of the Opera House.....can't see why they won't let me live there....I would clean up after all of the parties......eventually.

Hi, I am new to this great site and relatively new to the Smurf Collectors circle. I am 36yo female, currently living in Katherine, Northern Territory, Australia.
I started late last year after I determined that it was just to expensive to collect the old vintage tin toys that I love. I have always loved smurfs and discovered the huge collections and availability especially on eBay.

i have only been SMURFING for about 4 months but have amassed 122 regular SMURFS, 10 McD SMURFS, and around 30 or so misc. SMURF items. it is very attictive.
